How to tie Tinsel using a weave comb
When tying tinsel in the hair you should always first, comb the hair and smooth down any fly-aways. Second, part the hair where you want to place the tinsel, you need to be able to see the scalp. After twisting the tinsel and hair around your two fingers, place the hair and tinsel ends in between the tips of your two fingers. You will use the comb to pull the hair and tinsel that is around your fingers, over the ends that you are holding in between your fingers (don't let go of the ends) When you use the comb method leave the knot around the comb, place the comb at the scalp directly on the area where the hairs you are tying are coming from. This will allow the knot to slide down the comb and be placed close to the scalp. Then with the fingers holding the ends, gently pull the hair and tinsel. The knot will be around the comb, it will slide down the comb placing the knot wherever the end of the comb was placed. If the tinsel slips out, you will need to leave the end of tinsel strand (going toward the scalp) longer when first starting. If you choose to tie the tinsel using the slip knot method, you will tie a slip knot and a square knot. After you have tied the knots, take the two tinsel strands and gently pull, making the knot tight and secure.
